Wabuno Fish Farm and Processing Plant

Since 1992 the band has successfully established the community owned and operated Wabuno Fish Farms and Wabuno Fish Processors. The product, rainbow trout is grown, processed and sold to domestic and export markets.

The initiative has created 13 full-time positions and has decreased the unemployment rate by 10% in our community. Since its inception in 1992 this business has created well over 75 full time and part time jobs.

The business has created long term employment opportunities and furthered our intiatives in the development of self sufficiency for Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation.
